

OUR STORY
Sierra Bakehouse is owned by pastry chefs Kristy and Daniella.
Daniella is originally from Connecticut and studied Baking and Pastry Arts at the Culinary Institute of America in New York. She has worked for Gary Danko's Restaurant in San Francisco, The French Pastry School in Chicago, and came here from the Ritz Carlton Hotel in Orlando and then Tahoe. Daniella has many years of large banqueting experience, teaching, making wedding cakes, and designing restaurant desserts.
Kristy grew up in Reno, NV and studied Baking and Pastry Arts at the California Culinary Academy in San Francisco. Kristy has worked for several restaurants in Reno and Boulder, Co. She also spent time in Italy learning about the simple, fresh, seasonal style of cooking and baking that the Italians are famous for. After starting her own baking business at home specializing in wedding dessert bars and wholesale to local food businesses, she quickly realized the need for a more spacious kitchen.
Sierra Bakehouse combines their East and West Coast talents bringing Truckee and Tahoe top notch high elevation baked goods. It is their mission to bring joy and flavor using high quality, local, organic ingredients.
